Is this financial advice?
No. Precog describes what's happening on the tape by printed rules. Most metas fade within hours, most coins in them go to zero, and the ledger shows that a flag on its own is not a reason to buy.
How does a word get flagged?
Every launch's name and ticker are split into words (camelCase split, lowercased, accents folded, 3+ letters or "ai", numbers and common words like "coin" or "the" dropped). A word is flagged when it has 20+ launches in the last 10 minutes AND that is at least 10× its normal 10-minute pace. The normal pace comes from the archive; a word with almost no history is measured against a floor of 0.05 launches per 10 minutes. One flag per word per 6 hours.
What do forming, peaking and fading mean?
Forming: 10+ launches in the last 10 minutes, at least 5× the word's normal pace, and more than 1.2× the 10 minutes before. Peaking: the same pace, but no longer growing that fast. Fading: the last 10 minutes are at or below 60% of the busiest 10 minutes of the past hour.
How accurate is it?
The ledger answers that, misses included. A flag is a hit when at least one coin with the word, launched within 3 hours after it, drew a crowd (40+ unique outside buyers and a peak of 30+ SOL in its bonding curve). Next to the hit rate the ledger prints how often the same number of average launches would have hit by chance. On our archive, flags do not beat chance: most are copycat waves, one coin's name relaunched over and over.
Why is the free board 15 minutes late?
Free is 15 minutes behind and shows the top 3 words; holding $PRECOG makes it live with up to 12 words and turns on alerts. The live data reaches every browser either way: the delay is a perk gate in the page, not a secret. Anyone could undo it, and that's fine.
Where does the live data come from?
Straight from Solana, in your browser: publicnode's free websocket sends every pump.fun create (we decode the launch's name and ticker from the transaction's log). Mayhem-mode launches (a pump.fun launch mode) are skipped and counted on the board, because our archive doesn't record them and the normal pace has to compare like with like. If publicnode can't be reached, PumpPortal's free feed takes over and the board says it's partial (in our probes it carried about a quarter to a half of the launches). On open, GeckoTerminal's newest pools fill in the last few minutes. One tab per browser holds the connection and shares it with your other tabs. The page can only talk to those three, plus its own archive files.
Does my browser keep anything?
Yes, on this device only: the launches it saw in the last 6 hours, a count per word per hour for 7 days, and the flags it saw live, so the board and the ledger pick up where you left off. Your watched words and a holder check live in this browser's storage too. Nothing is sent anywhere.
How much data does the live board use?
The live feed sends every pump.fun create transaction's log, about 25–30 MB an hour while a Precog tab is open. When no Precog tab is on screen for 3 minutes and you have no alerts set, the board pauses the feed and says so.
Where does the archive come from?
From our own record of every pump.fun launch, read straight from Solana: 72 hours of launches for the trench search, the ledger and the replays, and up to 30 days of launches for each word's normal pace. It's baked into this page when it's deployed and labelled with its date; it does not update by itself.
Do I connect a wallet?
Never. Holder features read a pasted address's $PRECOG balance through publicnode. Nothing to sign, nothing to approve.
What does holding $PRECOG unlock?
The live board instead of the 15-minute delay, up to 12 words instead of 3, and browser alerts on up to 20 words of your own. Paste an address and the page reads its $PRECOG balance (Token or Token-2022 account) in one public call; any balance above zero unlocks this browser for 7 days. It's an honor system: anyone could paste a holder's address.
What's planned?
Headline forecasts (a probability for words in fresh headlines), the Beat-the-model league for holders, a live API, and a public ledger kept by a server. None of them is live, and the page says so wherever they appear.
